Sandals for Beach Walking

Cheerful and happy after shopping, we have brought our sandals into the car and off we go… Sandals are one of the first footwear, which a man was wearing long ago. However, they are in great demand in our days. History of sandals has come from Egypt, where Egyptians were producing precisely fitted papyrus soles, fastened with leather straps with footprints on wet sand already in 3500 BC. Those shoes protected feet of Egyptians from hot sand and the uneven surface, and also served as a sign of high status. Egyptian sandals kept leg open completely, protecting only the sole. Egyptian kids from high community were wearing sandals either – they were softer and more comfortable than those of their fathers’. I guess, children loved to go shopping that time as well as nowadays. Roman sandals differed in the abundance of leather straps that cover the leg. The soles of sandals of Roman emperors were poured out of pure gold, and decorated with precious stones. Now this kind of footwear is also very relevant in the hot summer. Sandals got a rebirth in the first half of XX century, when the designers had provided these shoes with a heel, and gave them the appearance of modern sandals. Plastic sandals called a fashion boom in the 60 years of the last century. They were made of transparent plastic, nylon yarn, cut curved heels and otherwise experimented with materials. Nowadays sandals have been changed greatly: they were changed in the shape of the heel or make a hole in it, decorated with rhinestones or artificial flowers. It depends on sandals’ style. Kids’ beach sandals are more colorful and comfortable, than adults’ ones. Very often they have straps decorated with laces or stones. Therefore going shopping is our family’s holiday actually. My husband and I like this footwear, because our feet “breathe” in warm weather. When I am tired at work, I always think longingly about my favorite sandals, which I much need at those moments. And kids beach sandals are worth speaking about – they are just for my kids.
